The boogie woogie style of piano playing is rarely heard these days, and with the passing of one of the last great boogie woogie blues pianists Mr Pine Top Perkins recently it is refreshing to know that at Jump Jive and Shout there is still the opportunity to hear and see this wonderful music performed live. Jamie Rowan loves the New Orleans style boogie woogie and blues piano genre as is evident to all who have been fortunate to witness his incredibly dynamic, enthusiastic and energetic live shows. Introducing the unstoppable Chris Campion on bass. The infamous Arthur Lager (aka Nick Comb from The Scientists, Gallon Drunk) on drums and percussion and, on lead guitar, the tenacious tunesmith Huck Whitney (Flaming Stars).
