Boogie Oogie are one of the few party bands in the UK to combine the disco, funk and soul classics of the 70s and 80s, More Boogie provide an unmissable live experience. A dynamic seven-piece band, they have honed a distinctive sound of breathtaking four-part harmonies and the fattest, funkiest grooves. Their dazzling musicianship, high-energy performances and stylish, sophisticated image have earned them an unrivalled reputation. If you want fun, without the cheese, then look no further. Whatever the occasion – weddings, corporate functions, festivals – More Boogie guarantee to tear the roof off your event and leave no one standing (still)!

Each member has a wealth of performance experience: at Glastonbury Festival and the Mercury Music Awards; on TV (Top of the Pops, Later with Jools Holland) and radio (John Peel, Sean Hughes); and with artists such as Basement Jaxx, MJ Cole, D-Ream, Roots Manuva, Kym Mazelle, The Shamen & Urban Species. They have worked together for more than ten years, with such corporate clients as the BBC, GlaxoSmithKline, HM Forces, the Law Society and Willis Faber.

Their client-centred service begins the moment you make an enquiry, and they will liaise with you on every detail to ensure your event runs without a hitch. They come fully equipped with a professional PA system and lighting rig suitable for venues of up to 300 people and can arrange for additional equipment and technicians if required. As a matter of course, they play pre-mixed music between their sets, but they also offer an DJ service should you wish.

Playlist

While their speciality is 70s and 80s disco, funk and soul, the band is constantly updating their set to include more contemporary tunes. With their extensive repertoire, there is more than enough material for them to chose your personal favourites.

They are happy to perform first dances at weddings and to discuss requests for specific songs within their field. As a matter of course, they can advise on the best selection of songs and arrange performance times to fit in with your plans.
