Menifesto Musical
is a Brazilian group that lives in Spain since
2001. Taize and Tupi are the base components and
leader this project that mixes the freshest
Northeast Brazilian rhythms - samba-reggae,
baião, repente - with funk and pop-rock to
produce a really singular sound.
Menifesto Musical's
repertory includes their own songs in
Portuguese, Spanish and English, and some
versions of other songs by song writers from
Brazil and other countries. |

"Algo así" is their first CD´s name and the song
that will be in "La carta esférica", a film by
Spanish director Imanol Uribe, with the Spanish
actor Carmelo Gómez and the Spanish actress
Aitana Sánchez Gijón (Spain, 2007). |

Taize is a Brazilian singer and song writer who started
her artistic life in Salvador, Bahia, where was a member
of a theater company and working in many musical and
artistic projects.
Edu Tupi, guitarrist and song writer from Maranhão,
begun his musical life in Brasilia.
Taize and Tupi work together since 1998, when were
leader of the pop-rock band: Cactus Groove. |

In 1990
Menifesto Musical
changed to live in Salvador, Bahia, where they have
played and recorded with many musical locate groups.In 2001, with their own songs, birth the project TAIZE.
In that same year TAIZE won the second part of the
selection of the Heineken Cup Festival (in Salvador,
Bahia) and began their international career,
participating in the XIV International Blues Festival of
Cerdanyola, in Catalonia, Spain.

have performed in Madrid, Catalonia, Andalucía (Málaga,
Cádiz and Almería), Galicia, Extremadura, and Ceuta. |

- Video “Las amigas malas de Diana” [Diana’s Bad
Girlfriends]. Presented at Fernando Pessoa University (Portugal, 2003)

- TLLT, interdisciplinary project with Taize, F. Llopis
and Tupi. Multimedia concert (Performance "Sapos y
neuronas" [Frogs and Neurons], Barcelona 2003 and "Galls
i raps: Brossanova", Barcelona 2004)

- Recital "I pelava la taronja amb els dents" [And
peeled the orange with the teeth] with the Catalan poet
Alberto Roig (Barcelona 2004).

- Prozac para Aina, a short movie by Sergi Wattes. The
group composed the soundtrack “Aina”. (Barcelona, 2005)

- Short movie "Actually... no tengo miedo", by Ernesto
Venditto (Italy); with the song "É verão". (Barcelona,
