As part of its mission to maximise the visitor experience, Event UK has launched a search for exceptionally talented acts who are looking to break into the corporate entertainment and party scene.
The shortlisted finalists will perform for a panel of judges and interactive voting audience on the Next Big Thing stage at Event UK, which runs from 16-17 September at the NEC Birmingham.
In association with Sternberg Clarke, the Next Big Thing is part of Event UK’s commitment to enhancing the visitor experience and making a thoroughly enjoyable show, while supporting the industry from both sides and encouraging new talent into the sector.
Not only will shortlisted entries have the chance to perform at Event UK, but a contract with top entertainment industry agent Sternberg Clarke is also up for grabs. Moreover, the winner will also get a stand to promote themselves at International Confex 09, and the opportunity to perform at the International Confex 09 Exhibitor Party.
Duncan Reid, Confex Group event director, explains.
‘Event UK brings together an eclectic mix of exhibitors and visitors representing the industry’s movers and shakers, which is why it is the perfect launch platform for the Next Big Thing.
‘We’re looking for a wide range of acts who can bring something fresh and innovative to the corporate entertainment sector. For entrants it is an excellent opportunity to showcase their talents to industry insiders, whilst for event organisers it offers the chance to see something a bit different and give them some inspiration - which has always been the underlining objective of Event UK.’
Event UK features more than 350 exhibitors and a daily seminar programme tailored to the hot topics in the industry. It is a great place to do business, meet new contacts and find inspiration for your next event.
