London Silk Trio

SilkTrio picture

The Silk Trio consists of experienced musicians trained at the Royal Academy of Music in London.

The trio is committed to providing the highest quality of entertainment for events ranging from wedding ceremonies and corporate events to concert recitals.

The Silk Trio takes pride in providing a personal and friendly service, working with clients to ensure the right choice of music to suit each event.

Their experience ranges from churches, embassies, manor houses and art galleries to luxury cruise liners and concert halls.

As well as the lovely brides they work with, the trio has performed for members of the Royal Family and visiting ambassadors.

This chamber trio stems from Baroque tradition of combining two melodic instruments with bass, such as in Bach’s Trio Sonatas.

From Bach’s legacy, Classical composers such as Haydn, Danzi, Stamitz and Devienne have left a wealth of repertoire for this instrumental combination.

The Silk Trio’s repertoire consists of masterpieces from the Baroque, Classical and Romantic eras and extends to light jazz, popular songs, TV, film and show themes and opera favourites.

This medium-sized ensemble is ideal for wedding venues of any size. The beautiful blend of flute and strings gives orchestral coloring within an elegant chamber ensemble sound.

Based in London, the Silk Trio is available for both indoor and outdoor events throughout the South of England and the Midlands. Special song requests are welcome.
