Classical Trained Singer who Performs Opera, Jazz and Pop
Julia is an accomplished classically trained opera singer who performs opera, pop, Latin music and jazz. Born in England brought up in France, she completed her baccalaureate in Wales before attending university in Spain.
Julia’s rich linguistic and cultural diversity is not just reflected but complemented in the extraordinary breadth and range of her vocal talents.
She is equally at ease and accomplished in various contrasting musical domains – performing anything from classical opera to musical theatre, from traditional pop to more earthy jazz and blues.
Julia attended the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts in London, where although majoring in vocals, she also underwent rigorous training in various styles of dance, including ballet, jazz, modern and tap.
Having performed Habanera from Bizet’s Carmen at the Shaw Theatre in London, she successfully auditioned as a Soprano for the London Symphony Chorus, the resident choir at the Barbican, where performances regularly take her to prestigious venues such as Manchester’s state-of-the-art international concert destination, The Bridgewater Hall and the Royal Albert Hall.
