Violin and Guitar Duo specialising in Cross-over Classical/ Jazz and Brazilian Bossa Nova

The duo is a collaborative project as well as a fusion duo ensemble based in London, immersing classical virtuosity with innovative and explorative harmony of jazz, with the vision of a perfect marriage of modernity with traditional Bossa Nova and other Brazilian rhythms, pushing musical boundary across the best of two worlds.

Trained as a classical violinist, Joanne embarked on her musical journey studying at the New England Conservatory in Boston, Conservatorium van Amsterdam and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. Now an established and versatile freelancer based in London, Joanne appears on renowned stages with virtuosity and various partnerships. A familiar presence with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra, and the London Philharmonic Orchestra as an orchestral musician, as well as an international chamber musician, Joanne captivates audiences with the precision and passion that define her musical expression.

Originating from Brazil, Victor was trained in the University of Santa Catarina, celebrated for his adeptness in bossa nova and jazz. Raised in the rich musical culture of Brazil, his performances skilfully weave the rhythmic charm of bossa nova with the improvisational elegance of jazz. Victor shares the soulful sounds of Brazil on the global stage, connecting audiences to the vibrant musical heritage that shaped his music.
