Cabaret and Comedy Blues
Suzanne (vocals) and George (piano) perform “dirty” Blues and Jazz from the 1920s-1940s, an era when lewd songs ruled the jukeboxes with titles such as ‘If it doesn’t fit, don’t force it’ and ‘Sam the Hot Dog Man.’

The songs were first performed in speakeasies and vaudeville theatres by luminaries such as Bessie Smith, Alberta Hunter and Ethel Waters, and less famous singers such as Lil Johnson and Julie Lee Boyfriends. Cheeky and fun, Suzanne and George are the perfect accompaniment to a mint julep or bootleg/craft gin in a cosy bar or pub.
This vintage act works equally well at hen or stag parties, where guests are encouraged to sing along. Alongside the dirty blues, Suzanne and George have a substantial repertoire of jazz standards from the era.

Testimonials
Vintage 1920s bawdy blues from the songbooks of Bessie Smith, Alberta Hunter & co. The highlight for me was Noble’s excellent version of Georgia White’s I’ll Keep Sitting On It. Picked up some fascinating historical info from her between-songs chat too.

Private EventsThe inimitable Suzanne singing bawdy blues from Bessie Smith to Ethel Waters at the very intimate Green Note in Camden. Funny, dirty and brilliantly sung. Well done Suzanne. This was an incredible two sets of 40 minutes each and the audience was rapturous.
