Jojo has been singing on the London Jazz scene since 2001, described as having a soulful, and rich honey toned voice, taking influence from the great singers such as Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, Anita O’Day, Julie London and Dusty Springfeild.
Jojo works with a guitar player or pianist when performing as a Duo and can be booked as Jazz Trio, Jazz Quartet, Jazz Quintet or with a Big Band.
As well as singing jazz and soul standards, Jojo has co-written her own songs, and often includes some well crafted covers arranged to fit into her Jazz set from across the genres.
She has also recorded with the likes of Acoustic Alchemy, Nigel Lowis, Alex Webb, Hannah Vasanth, Paul Edis to name but a few. She has supported The Blind Boys of Alabama, serenaded the Sultan of Dubai, sung backing vocals for Neil Diamond, Enrique Iglesias and Gloria Gaynor, and has played on many stages across the UK and Europe.

Jojo really lived up to her billing. Her voice is amazing – think Islay whisky, dark porter or tannin-rich red wine – deep and subtly modulated on Masquerade, swinging and smoky on My Romance, with lighter, sparkling tones on All of Me and Bye, Bye Blackbird. The lady really can sing the blues as well, with a great version of Georgia on my Mind in this set, and the two exquisite Billie Holliday numbers in the second set.
