Fusion Jazz Trio
Compound Chemistry is a project whose name does justice to the music they play.
The project was created in London by Samuel Oliveira when he started to work on his second solo EP. The chemistry between the musicians gave birth to an instrumental trio composed of Samuel Oliveira (drums), André Soares (guitar), and Wes Burton (bass). With divergent music influences and backgrounds, here is where fusion jazz and prog metal meet and create their own identity.
They’re currently releasing singles from the upcoming ‘This Was Predicted’ EP. Although there’s another EP ready to release, ‘Another Broken Marriage’ EP is a re-release as a collaboration between the band and the drummer.
Due to both records having different singers on every song, Compound Chemistry released a live recording at Strongroom Studios on Youtube, which contains instrumental versions of the songs that will be part of the two EPs.
In parallel, the band is recording demos for the next record, which will take a more prog jazz direction.
