Four Piece Functions Band in London

The Red Balloons are a four piece function and wedding band specialising in rock and pop classics from the past fifty years, covering classic and contemporary popular artists from The Rolling Stones, The Doors and The Beatles to The White Stripes, The Strokes and Arcade Fire.
Unusually, all four members sing lead vocals, helping to diversify their sets. Each member is an extremely experienced musician in their own right. In 2015 Pembroke (vocals & guitar) was named BBC introducing artist of the month; he receives regular radio plays and has performed live on TV for London Live network. Steve (vocals, guitar & keys) is a self-taught multi-instrumentalist with 20 years’ experience gigging up and down the country with various acts including The Libertines. Sam (vocals & drums) and Mike (vocals & bass) have toured nationally and internationally together with their previous originals projects, supporting acts such as Johnny Foreigner, The Wombats and The Holloways, as well as playing on the UK’s major festival circuit.
Together they provide an upbeat, dance orientated experience for any occasion. With unique arrangements, high energy performance and unrivalled musicality, The Balloons guarantee a show like no other function band.

Testimonials
“I was very privileged to see The Red Balloons headline the Camden Town Brewery ‘Tank Party’, having recently discovered Pembroke Tenneson recently in my hometown. They went down A STORM…!! This band seriously ooze talent and good times… Their covers were incredible – lively and powerful with their own twist. The whole crowd were completely enraptured – EVERYONE was singing and smiling…! Simply awesome. A real joy. 🙂 Thanks for a great evening. Looking forward to MORE…!!”
-John Pooley, Camden Brewery Tank Party
The Red Balloons were amazing! They played mostly covers and often sounded better than the original! Fantastic singing and playing, a really tight group of excellent musicians who really seem to enjoy playing together. Everyone was dancing and woo-ing – couldn’t have been better. Thanks guys!
-Stephanie T. Corporate Party
Thanks so much! You had the crowd in the palm of your hand. You have had so many compliments, all the guests we’re talking about the music the next day. Good luck, I hope we see you playing again soon.
-Oliver Thornton – Wedding
I wanted to say how much Jo, I and I believe the rest of the party enjoyed your show last night. It was superb and you demonstrated so well your love for the music and to make it such a great
evening for us. Truly my thanks to you, Steve, Pembroke and Sam – such a nice bunch of lads.
-Martin Osborne – 50th Birthday Party
Over the two nights we worked with the Red Balloons they became part of the Tullamore D.E.W. family. I was incredibly impressed by their professionalism, flexibility, musicianship and their passion for what they do. They delivered two barn storming performances, stayed on longer than they should and even learned a new tune for us, which was outstanding. I would work with them again tomorrow and recommend them to anyone looking for an accomplished band who will rock the house.
