Inspired by London’s earliest clubs dating back to the 1920’s that entertained ‘outsiders and misfits’ the club is now located in a grade II listed building on Winsley Street, Fitzrovia, an area which in its day was regarded as the centre of artistic importance and home to literary royalty such as George Bernard Shaw, who frequented the infamous Fitzroy Tavern.
The UFO Club was home to Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix played at Speakeasy and Bob Dylan debuted at the King and Queen pub, all of which creates the fabric of the area’s past. Likewise, the new Chinawhite guest is not defined by wealth but by a desire to exist outside of the ordinary.
The restaurant serves a modern twist on classic Asian dishes such as Kung Pao chicken, sashimi tuna, blackened halibut, griddled watermelon and toasted ricotta salad as well as grilled foie gras with langoustine.
