From Classics to Contemporary and Bollywood music, Tavan delivers the finest piano performance at any event. He is a concert pianist, a copyist (transcribing music to the staff), an accompanist, and a teacher of piano and theory. He graduated from Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and has taught students across all age categories the basics of music and piano playing at KM Music Conservatory.

Tavan started his musical journey at the age of 5 with lessons in Indian classical voice and harmonium under the tutelage of Shreemati Ramilaben Ichchhapurya, and studied with her for the next 10 years. With a good prowess at the harmonium, Tavan started taking piano lessons by travelling to Surat in 2011 and then to Ahmedabad in 2012. In the following 2 years, he cleared grades 7 and 8 with distinctions. In September 2014, he began his 3-year weekly travel to Mumbai to study with Mrs.Blossom Mendonca. He appeared for Trinity College London’s Advanced Certificate exam in 2015 and received the Blossom Mendonca prize for securing the highest marks for the year 2015.

In August 2016, Tavan participated in the Chetham’s International Summer School for Pianists, Manchester, and gave 2 well-received recitals at the school’s Whiteley Hall and performed his variations on the tune of ‘Happy Birthday’ in the style of different composers, which was a huge success. While in Manchester, he met his piano hero Dr.Leslie Howard. A year later, Tavan travelled to London to have piano lessons with the renowned pianist.

In 2018 he received a full scholarship at the KM Music conservatory for his proficiency in piano playing and graduated with distinctions in 2021. Whilst there, Tavan won the first prize in The Pianist Competition, which was organised by Casio in Chennai In November 2019. A year later, he graduated with a Master’s in Piano Performance from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in 2022.
