The Arkansas Drifters

1950’s Honkytonkin’ Country & Rockabilly

Almost two decades after shaking the hand of Johnny Cash, The Arkansas Drifters began to Honkytonk their way across Europe and the UK with their electrifying mix of 1950’s American style Rockabilly & Country music.

Arkansas Drifters – Country and Rockabilly Medley

This four-piece band forfeits the use of a drum kit for the slapping, thumping sounds of the upright double bass and then top it all off with the inclusion of the sweet tones from a 12 string pedal steel guitar.

In their repertoire, you will find a splash of western swing, rubbing shoulders with some raw Johnny Cash and early Elvis, seasoned with some Hank Williams. More modern, but stylistically true artists such as Hank3, Wayne ‘The Train’ Hancock, Dale Watson and BR549 also get their fair share of exposure on the set list.

The Arkansas Drifters can rock the roof of any joint, entice you to jive and swing, or make you honkytonk like you just stepped into a Texas saloon.
They are ready to play any style of music, as long as it is 1950’s Honkytonkin’ Country & Rockabilly!

The day worked out really well in the end and not as bad as the forecast was predicting.  The band were absolutely fantastic and everyone had a brilliant time dancing and singing.
