Emma Stiman studied classical clarinet at the Royal College of Music and Birmingham Conservatoire. During her studies, she performed as principal clarinetist in the “National Youth Wind Orchestra of Great Britain” and under the baton of Sir Yehudi Menuhin in the “Young Musicians Symphony Orchestra”

Since then, Emma has become a versataile, flexible and experienced musician intensively involving herself in a number of different styles including classical, Balkan, klezmer, free impro and some jazz, with projects including the Queen Esther Klezmer Trio, Oper Am Rhein ‘Carmen’, Duo Wajlu. She has played and taught at klezmer festivals and events withsome of these projects including KlezmerParis, Klezfest London, Klezmore Vienna,  jewish music festival Brussels, Yiddish Summer Weimar, Klezmerfest Hamburg, Klezmertage Bonn. Emma composes for her classical and klezmer projects and for other artists.
