I am a Composer and multi-instrumentalist based in London who creates original and bespoke music for Film, TV & Media. I have an ability for writing memorable melodies and producing complex and involved musical concepts and ideas. I can offer a wide range of styles and genres to compose the right music to support your story, whether for screen or live. I’m a versatile Composer with a very strong sense of originality and am open, friendly, committed, and willing to work entirely for the story that the music needs to support. I am primarily a drummer, which gives me a unique compositional perspective and would describe my main compositional style as:
• Percussive
• Melodic
• Layered
• Eclectic
My work is often subtly rhythmic / rhythm based, utilising what I would call “soft cross rhythms” where pulses and rhythms within pieces are not perhaps too upfront but give a layered & textured effect to the music I write.
I can adapt to just about any given style of music with authenticity, which I believe is because:
o I have played various instruments over the years in various forms of music.
o I have quite a voracious appetite for the huge amounts of music there are around the world.
o I have my feet firmly rooted in both modern / popular music as well as classical.
o More technical forms of music don’t really phase me as I am primarily a jazz drummer and used to complex forms, time signatures etc.
I like to think that I get on with people easily. I think good working relationships are important. When anyone is under pressure, I think it important to stay calm, friendly and focus on the goal and in solving any problems seamlessly & without visible scars.
