He formed The Jay France Band, known for their high-energy live shows, becoming a sought-after act across the UK. In 2020, J France joined the UK’s leading ska and reggae group, The Dualers, performing to over 7,000 fans at the iconic OVO Arena Wembley. His musical journey led to performances at prestigious festivals like Glastonbury and Spain’s Rototom Sunsplash.
In addition to performing, J France has found fulfilment in running a successful music teaching business, bringing the joy of music to underprivileged children and individuals with learning difficulties. His dedication to music education reflects his passion for making a positive impact.
In 2022, J France co-created Voices From The Sun with The Dualers, achieving chart success and landing on the Radio 2 playlist. Building on this success, he embarked on a solo career and, with support from Sunbeat Records, recorded War Against Boredom in 2023. The album’s 14 original tracks blend indie and ska, featuring collaborations with Tyber Cranstoun and the musical director for James Morrison.
