I like to speak to clients a month before their event, and it is at this point that it is helpful to hear which songs on my repertoire are particular favourites (or which songs should be vetoed at all costs!). I do, however, ask that clients refrain from requesting a full set list of songs – I will write a tailor-made set list for your event once we have spoken, a set that I know will flow well and which includes songs that will be a perfect fit for your event and audience. I am also constantly rehearsing and improving my repertoire, and it is wonderful to have the flexibility to throw in a surefire crowdpleaser that I’ve recently learned!
