The Presto String Quartet was very professional, accommodating, and, of course… talented.​ Everyone at our wedding had a wonderful time listening to their music, and they brought the right balance of sophistication and atmosphere to our wedding day.

I’ve booked The Presto String Quartet for several concerts in recent years. In addition to their highly intuitive and talented playing and excellent professionalism, they are also a very friendly and accommodating ensemble. For a recent American-themed concert, the quartet helped to arrange parts for strings from piano scores of Barber and Whitacre songs.

They also chose three exquisite pieces for the concert, which they carefully thought out to suit and enhance the programme perfectly. The Phillip Glass quartet (No. 2) was delightful and different, and we all loved their beautifully paced arrangement of the Ashokan Farewell. I can’t recommend this quartet highly enough!”

The Presto String Quartet played with a Soprano (they sourced) for our wedding in Queens House, Greenwich. We gave them an ambitious spec—to create bespoke arrangements for three of the four pieces of music: our own written verse to Green Sleeves, The Flower Duet (Sous le dôme épais) but with just “one” soloist, and Prokofiev (the BBC’s apprentice music)—adapted from an orchestra arrangement to a quartet. 

That was it—no more involvement from me, which was good as I naturally was busy with other things… The quality and professionalism of the quartet and their emotionally inducing playing were a perfect backdrop to such an occasion—it was simply perfect. Their prices were extremely reasonable, with the arrangements a small added extra. I would not hesitate to recommend them—they were simply brilliant.

We were absolutely thrilled with the performance by Presto String Quartet at our wedding. Set outside in gardens, they tailored their music perfectly to the bucolic surroundings, performing classical Impressionist pieces alongside joyful interpretations of contemporary songs – giving the experience a very personal and timeless feel.
They helped create the perfect atmosphere for our wedding party, capturing the beauty and emotion of the setting and enhancing the magic of the day.

We hired the Presto String Quartet for our London wedding in September 2022 and had them play during the ceremony and afterwards in the garden. The whole process was extremely easy, and Tristan was a dream to deal with. We spoke with him before the big day to sort out music choices, and he had fantastic ideas.

The quartet had a big repertoire, from Bach to the Beatles, and the guests loved their choices. This included some fellow musicians, who noted their very high level of musicianship. They were a very important part of our big day. Highly recommend. Thanks very much
