Live Greek Music at its Best
Joined by highly skilled musicians with excellent knowledge and feel. The London Greek Ensemble has performed in countless private events such as Greek weddings, baptisms, birthdays, garden parties and other special occasions.
Their performances embody the music traditions of Greece and Cyprus, which will leave you inspired by the warmth, quality and authenticity you would typically experience in a Greek village feast or an old taverna in Athens or Nicosia.
Their repertoire includes hundreds of Hellenic tunes, ranging from classics like Zorba the Greek and Never on Sunday to much less known songs in Tsamikos, Mantilatos, Pentozalis, etc Ikariotikos, Haniotikos and Ionian-island Serenades.
Forming groups of two to seven members, they aim to satisfy the entertainment requirements of each party. Their instruments include bouzouki, guitar, accordion, violin, baglama, percussion and kanun.
Dancers and DJs can be recommended, subject to request. At wedding -parties where both Greek and English entertainment is required, it can be a good idea to mix the elements by having a Greek band for the reception, dinner and first part of the evening and a DJ for the rest of the night.
We hired Pavlos and Nikos to sing at my brother’s stolisma, a Greek tradition for weddings on May the 1st, 2022.
Pavlos and Nikos were early and on time; they sang traditional Cypriot songs as requested. Their music and songs were beautiful! They sang and played very well. We were delighted with them, and so was my mum. I would recommend them and use them in the future for sure!
Thank you to the Greek collective for playing. The crowd/guests loved it – we all did.
They had a great vibe and enthusiasm – wish them the best as they are the best!
Hello from India. Just to say a huge thank you for the most beautiful performance at our wedding. Everybody was amazed! The videographer will send you a YouTube link to the band. Feel free to put a link on Facebook and paste a link on my Facebook page, as my friends & family are dying to see it! I won’t be back in the UK until the end of February.
Lucia – Wedding
Thank you so much for everything – EVERYONE commented on how amazing you were, Greeks and English. I know the family especially loved the Trikala song you played. You set the atmosphere, and for me, the special touch was being serenaded as we arrived at the reception. The photographer is Greg Clark (on my Facebook friends). He said the photos would be ready in a couple of weeks. We are off to Santorini tomorrow for a week’s honeymoon. Yes, a jam when I get back would be lovely! Thanks again
Thanks for the Great music!
Hello, I wanted to send a quick note to say thanks for the beautiful music last night. It was as Greek as it gets and brought back many memories!. Thanks
Thanks for the lovely music on Tuesday. It lifted and moved us all. It made the English winter less grey and filled us with a healthy love for Greece and our culture.
Thank you for playing at our wedding and travelling for us. We had a brilliant time, and you were a big part of making the day memorable for our guests and us. I also want to thank you for your professionalism throughout; you were a pleasure to deal with and always made us feel at ease.
All the best
