Jewish Band playing authentic traditional and Contemporary Jewish Music
The London Klezmer Band is a three-piece Klezmer ensemble exploring the traditional music of Ashkenazi Jewish culture. Bringing together three of the UK’s leading Klezmer musicians, their interpretation and arrangement of old repertoire see their music speak, sing and dance with the tradition’s distinct Yiddish accent and vocabulary.
Additionally, the Band collaborates regularly with one of the UK’s finest Roma musicians – Cimbalom virtuoso Janos Kallai. They Explore commonalities between Roma and Klezmer music and insight into how Klezmer music would have sounded in the past when Cimbalom was still a key instrument in this music.

Because of the corona lockdown, we could not have a regular party for my wife’s 65th, so as a surprise, I asked John and Anna to play in our front garden. They were perfect! They even learned and played a beautiful version of the South African national anthem (Nkosi sikilele). Neighbours came to listen and dance (keeping social distance). We recommend them highly.
