Melange combines North African rai with chaabi songs, Gnawa music of the south moroccan dessert, exotic middle eastern and turkish melodies and improvisation, central asian folk melodies to the fiery tango of Argentina and the street Choro of Brazil.

The group performs a mixture of traditional and original material, drawing its inspiration from the above traditions while also reflecting their links also to western music. They combine also traditional and modern improvisation, including both maqam and jazz. The musicians are a true reflection of modern cosmopolitanism, comprising musicians from Greece, Spain, Morocco, Iraq, Italy and the UK.
With their unique music and electrifying performances, Melange is perfect for festivals, parties, weddings, functions, corporate and private events in and around London. The band is available to perform either as a small 3 to 4 piece acoustic group or as a 7 piece-set upon request.
