Traditional Indian Music with Santoor and Tabla
The Santoor is a unique ancient Indian stringed instrument with a wide range of tone and notes. Sharing sounds with the more popular Sitar, this instrument is more distinct in character. Though the instrument can be performed as a Solo instrument, it is often coupled with a Tabla player for the percussion and moving rhythms.

Kiran’s advanced techniques of the instrument, combined with a creative flair and spontaneous imagination makes his performance an ideal Instrumental act for parties, religious functions and festivals. Born in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania, East Africa, Kiran hails from a family with strong musical background.
After moving to England Kiran went on to study the Tabla under the guidance of Shree Ripdhaman Singh of Punjab Gharana before branching out to many other instruments including the Santoor.
He later continued his musical studies under various respected teachers in India and UK, mastering the subtleties and intricacies of the Santoor and has gone on to become one of the most sought after Santoor Players in Europe
Dear Sir,
would you have time to teach me on the santoor? I am Austrian and have been playing santoor for two years now. Alas there is no santoor teacher in our country, so at the moment I learn rhythmic patterns from a very good tabla player in Italy.
I will come to London in October, or could come at any time, as there are direct flights from my hometown of Innsbruck to London. I love your way of playing the santoor.
Yours sincerely, Gundi Craggs
